MY APPROACH
to telling your story
My approach to photography is simple.
I am, and always will be a storyteller.
You need to want more then just the ordinary when it comes to your wedding photos.
You need to want the good stuff. The stuff that makes you warm inside and the experience to match.
At this point you are probably looking at a couple of photographers, all of which have beautiful work. But when it comes to choosing someone to tell your story, it’s so much more then just finding someone whose images you like. You need to love their work, their approach and the experience.
When it comes to documenting your day my biggest priority is that your experience is amazing. That you feel good, you have fun and you feel yourself.
My approach is simple.
I believe your wedding day should be experienced, not performed.
I'm not there to turn your day into a photoshoot or have you feeling uncomfortable repeatedly doing things over and over for the perfect shot.
I'm there to pay attention. To document the people, relationships, emotions and moments that make your story uniquely yours.
The best photographs happen when you're fully immersed in the experience. When you're laughing too hard, hugging your favourite people, tearing up during speeches, sneaking glances across the room and dancing long after your feet start hurting.
Those are the moments that matter.
The ones you'll want to remember years from now.
The way your partner looked at you. The belly laughs. The quiet moments in between. Your family being unapologetically themselves. The people you love, exactly as they were.
If you've ever said, "We're awkward in front of the camera," then you're exactly where you're supposed to be.
My job isn't to make you perform. It's to make you feel comfortable enough to be yourselves.
So be present. Soak it all in. Hold your people close.
I'll take care of the remembering.
So let me tell your story and tell the parts that really matter.
